This morning I was able to catch a glimpse of the beautiful
sunrise over Nashville. What a beautiful picture God has painted here! While
sitting on a bench, I began to think about my time here in Nashville. Four years ago, I decided to take a great
deal of faith and move 1,000 miles from my small town community to Nashville,
Tennessee. At the time, I was unaware of
the things that God would do in my life. Looking back He had a purpose and that
was to reach out of my comfort zone and have a fresh new start with Jesus. In Genesis 12, Abraham received a calling from
the Lord telling him to leave his native country, relatives, and family to go
to an unknown land. The Lord told him that he would be the father of a great
nation and will be blessed and will bless others. When I think of Abraham’s
call story, I also think about Noah and how he was called to build the ark
before the great flood, Jacob who heard God’s will for him in a dream, and
Joseph who learned in a dream that he’d rule over others. Through my whole
Nashville experience, I have come to find that God has a purpose for each of
us. To reveal your life purpose, God may call you out of a role or situation
and call you into a new beginning. Both legs of the journey are equally
important tests of obedience for you: to be willing to leave the old and begin
the new.
